特別講習
「理容の世界」～歴史・技術・仕事の魅力～

静岡県三島市にある東部総合美容専修学校が創立70年の節目を迎え特別記念企画として理容の歴史や技術、仕事の魅力を伝えるために夏目講師を迎えて実技講習会を開催しました。
ここ数十年前から理容師希望の生徒が激減し現在では美容科のみの運営となっています。
大変残念ではありますが将来に理容科の復活を願うばかりです。
その中で、今回の講習は理容の魅力を伝えるために企画されました。
参加者は理容組合関係者、在学中美容科生徒120名です。

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Tobu Comprehensive Beauty School in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, a special commemorative practical workshop was held featuring instructor Toshihiro Natsume. The event aimed to showcase the history, techniques, and appeal of the barbering profession.

内容としては、理容業の歴史の中で江戸時代から現在までの遍歴を紹介しました。技術講習ではまずシェービングの実演見学を行いました。またカット実演講習では最近流行りのフェーカットを実技講習でスタイルを作りました美容でも最近注目している刈上げスタイルでもありその高い技術力に皆さん熱心に見入っていました。
English translation
The session covered the evolution of the barbering profession from the Edo period to the present day.
The technical training began with a demonstration of shaving techniques. We also held a hands-on session on the "fade cut"—a style currently trending in both barbering and hairdressing—where participants created the look themselves; everyone watched intently, captivated by the high level of skill involved.
90分余りの時間で講習会は終わり、美容科の生徒達にも理容の高い技術や歴史など、知ってもらうことができた大変有意義な内容の講習会となりました。

The seminar concluded after just over 90 minutes; it was a highly meaningful session that allowed cosmetology students to learn about the history and advanced techniques of barbering.
